Pizzeria

Maria hails from the depths of the Tyrolean Alps in central Austria, just a stones throw away from the Northern Italian towns of Merano and Bolzano. She brings her mountain flair to the Brewery kitchen, boasting the best Pretzels this side of Munich and some of the best pizza your likely to experience. The secret to a good pizza is the dough, and the secret to Maria's dough is the liberal use of our Bavarian Wheat Beer into the mixer, and also down the hatch!

The brewery kitchen bakes pretzels daily from Wednesday to Sunday, but get in early, as late comers are often disappointed in their popularity. Her mums apple strudel recipe also works a treat to finish off the dining experience.

Australia has also made an impression on Maria's food, with a couple of meat pies making an appearance on the brewery menu. Baked with Bridge Roads Celtic Red Ale and Robust Porter.

The brewery kitchen fires up for lunch from Wednesday to Sunday, with Sunday evenings being our only night time gig. Make sure you book because pizza night is a local institution and seats are often rarer than an emu in Innsbruck.

Maria's honest cooking with great local produce has gained the kitchen a spot in the latest good food guide:

Not all beers are created equal. Take this craft brewery housed in an old pub's coach house. Everything yeasty is splended here, from the beer to the freshly baked beer bread and pizza. Enjoy pretzels with liptauer dip, fragrant with caraway and paprika, and a Saison Belgian style beer. Or choose an individually baked pie – perhaps chicken and wheat ale with sweet potato and corn. Or simply do for pizza margherita". The Age Good Food Guide 2009.
